World of Warcraft Warrior Guide

The Warrior class is great for players that like a kinds of combat from melee to tanking. I’ll introduce some of the unique aspects of the Warrior in the following WoW Warrior guide.

Although Warriors happen to be great tanks they’re not limited to just tanking. Their almost unlimited choice in weapons and armor make them fantastic at Melee DPS. Warriors actually have a larger selection of armor and weapons than any other class.

Let’s start out in the WoW Warrior guide by looking at some of their strengths.

  • Selection of Armor & Weapons: Warriors can wear pretty much any kind of armor including plate armor at level 40. They have an almost unlimited weapons selection. After leveling to 20 they can dual wield.
  • High Hit Points
  • DPS to Tank: Warriors can switch mid combat from DPS to Tanking.

Now we’ll take a look at some weaknesses and some challenges you’ll see as a Warrior.

  • Gear Dependent: In order to be effective you must think about the best gear.
  • Threat Reducing: They don’t have any real means of reducing threat
  • Healing: They don’t have healing abilities

Three unique stances define the abilities of the Warrior, and are listed below.

  • Battle Stance: The most balaced stance of the 3.
  • Defensive Stance: Great for taking damage.
  • Berserker Stance: This is made specifically for offense in that it’ll allow you to cause huge amounts of damage.

The following part of the WoW Warrior guide will look at the three types of talent builds; Arms, Fury and Protection and their various talents.

Arms: Talents

  • Deep Wounds: Fantastic for inflicting damage.
  • Taste for Blood, Improved Overpower, and Unrelenting Assault: Particularly good for Melee.
  • Sudden Death: This in combination with Mortal Strike give you the ability to inflict massive wounds on your enemy in just 2 seconds.
  • Trauma: Increases your output.

Fury: Talents

This one’s very gear dependent and shouldn’t be used for group play or raids. But it’s good for inflicting quick damage. Here’re some talents:

  • Cruelty, Armored to the Teeth: This is an essential talent.
  • Enrage: Really good for when leveling and playing solo.
  • Flurry
  • Bloodthirst: If you do play a raid then this will help keep you alive by helping you inflict massive damage and heals quickly.
  • Titans Grip: Wield two handed weapons, Whirlwinds and Slams

The Protection build is particularly good for defensive play. Here are the talents.

  • Incite
  • Warbringer: Makes the Warrior basically unstoppable in PvP.
  • Gag Order: Also good for PvP.

I won’t go into gearing up the Warrior in this WoW Warrior Guide but it’s extremely important to gear up right in order to be effective as a Warrior.
