WoW First Aid Guide

Because First aid allows you to heal yourself, a very good thing in WoW, its a really great secondary profession to train in. You’ll find some great tips and insights into Firs Aid in this WoW First Aid guide.

Because first aid can reduce your down time, it’s good for just about every class even healers. The ability to heal your friends will make you a great ally when it comes to groups and raids. The First Aid profession uses different bandages for healing. As you level up you first aid profession you’ll learn different cloths which in turn are use to make these bandages. The higher level cloths will have better healing power. This WoW first aid guide won’t go into actually making and using the bandages. The list that follows is of the various cloths, their skill level and healing power. Heavier bandages, as I mention below, have greater healing power.

  • Linen: Starting skill level, with a 66 Healing power and (114 healing power for Heavy, meaning heavy bandages) over 6 sec
  • Wool: Find a trainer once you’re at level 115, Healing power is 161 (301 for Heavy) over 7 seconds.
  • Silk: You’ll need to seek out a trainer at level 150, Healing power is 400 (640 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Mageweave: Find a trainer at skill 210, Healing power is 800 (1104 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Runecloth: Find a trainer at skill 260, Healing power is 1360 (2000 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Netherweave: You’ll need a book in order to learn how to make this cloth but first you’ll need to be at skill 330, Healing power is 2800 (3400 Heavy) over 8 seconds.
  • Frostweave: Find a Grand Master trainer at level 350, healing power is 4800 (5800 Heavy) over 8 seconds.

Making Heavy bandages require an extra piece of cloth and will have stronger healing power than the regular bandages. Books used for training to make different bandages can be found in the wild or bought from various traders. Now in the WoW first aid guide I’ll mention some things about leveling. The book you need in order ot level 125-225 is called “Under Wraps”. It costs 1 gold to buy and you can find it in Stromgarde Ruins or buy it from Deneb Walker if you’re Alliance. Or, for Horde, it can be bought from Balai Lok’Wein in Brakenwall Village, Dustwallow Marsh.

You need to do a special quest before you can level from 225 to 300. For this quest your character level needs to be 35 and your skill needs to be at level 225. For the quest, Alliance faction should seek out Doctor Gustaf Van Howzen in Theramore Isle. If your Horde then find Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall located in the Arathi Highlands.

In order to level your skill to the Master level, level 300-375, you need to find another book. Horde characters should look in Falcon Watch to find it, and Alliance players can go to Temple of Telhamat to find it. You can find the book to make Netherweave here as well.

In conclusion of the WoW first aid guide I want to mention a couple things. For healing to occur you’ll need to be standing still and make sure you’re not taking any damage. If you do take some damage or move when you’re trying to heal, then the healing will stop although what ever healing has happend you’ll keep. Lastly, you can’t cause damage to others while you’re healing. One way to solve this problem is to stun an enemy in order to give you time to heal. Use Heavy bandages to do this best.

Death Knights – WoW’s first class of heroes

The class of Death Knights is the latest available class in WoW. This class was brought to us by ‘Wrath of the Lich King’ expansion released in 2008. In the World of Warcraft, the DKs were introduced as a “Hero” class. This doesn’t mean that this class is more powerful than other classes, it just means that it is different.

Interesting things when it comes to DKs is they attack system which is not based on mana, rage or energy but it is based on runic power. They have two runes with a cooldown at their disposal for any attack and spell. The DK has three different types of runes: two Frost, Blood, and Unholy. Same goes for the talent trees a DK has – Frost, Blood and Unholy.

Death Knights wear armor made from plate, can cast spells and are also good melee dpsers.  A Death Knight can fulfill the role of a damage dealer and tank in a group or raid. They can wield one-handed and two-handed weapons but cannot equip a shield.

If you want to create a DK you will need to have another level 70 char in possession. The nice thing about the Dead Knight is that you start at level 55. Another nice thing is that your DK will start with bags, some money and green gear.

Your journey will start in The Ebon Hold in the Eastern Plaguelands. At first you will be fighting together with the forces of the Lich King. You will be taking direct orders from the Lich King himself during the quest chains that you should complete in the areas around the Ebon Hold. By completing the quests in this area you will receive your talent points and better gear. Because you start at level 55 you have missed out on some talent points but you can earn these back through questing.

When you reach the level 58 the quest chain you were following will change dramatically. You will be able to escape from the Lich King’s command and you will join his enemies to fight by their side. After this event occurs you will be able to go anywhere you like, however it is advisable to proceed to the Outlands since it will be easier for you to level up there. Your char will leave The Ebon Hold completely prepared when it comes to gear and talent points.

As for professions you have several options as a Death Knight. The choice of professions is solely up to you, however there are a few professions that can match a DK good. When it comes to most of the characters, Enchanting is a nice and useful profession to have because you will be able to enchant your rings. The ring enchants are just available to enchanters and when it comes to any spec they can be a really nice boost. Jewelcrafting/Mining combination is also nice since a Jewelcrafter will be able to make gems with better stats only for himself. Because a lot of gear has sockets at later levels this is a nice profession. With JC you will be able to craft other pieces of Jewelry as well, for example necklaces. Another nice option for a primary profession could be Blacksmithing because of the plate gear you can craft. Best accompanied by the Mining profession, you can also use Blacksmithing to make sockets in your gloves and wrists.

Playing a Death Knight will definitely bring you loads of fun. The only down point is that there are so many of them. The only thing that might bother you is that almost everyone has made a DK simply because you start at level 55 and it is fairly easy to level a char from there on.
