If you’re having problems finding a Wii then don’t give up hope just yet. Here’s some tips to make your search more fruitful:
1. If you really want to get a Wii as fast as possible, and are willing to pay a little more, just search for “Wii Bundle“.
2. In terms of buying online:
a. Ebay – buy from trusted sellers with a good feedback rating.
b. Craigslist – Craigslist is a really good place to find Wiis and Wii Fits.
c. Amazon.com – Amazon offers a really good auction service. If you’re willing to pay extra (like 40-50 dollars) you can get your hands on a Wii or a Wii Fit right now. As of the last time I checked, there were about 120 people selling Wiis and about 50 people selling their Wii Fits.
d. WiiTracker.com – This site will tell you when Wiis become available and what site they’re selling them on. Excellent site.
3. Ignore the bigger retailers, like Best Buy and Walmart, and try some of the smaller family owned games stores.
4. Get to know the staff. They’ll often tell you exactly when the next shipment will be coming in.
Truth is, you can get your hands on a Wii if you want – shortage or no shortage. So good luck hunting down the world’s coolest gaming console!
